The Customer's Situation
Mr. Chong runs an accounting firm from the first floor of a 30-year-old shoplot in Pudu. His office had been cooled by the same window aircond unit for over 15 years — a relic from when the previous tenant ran a tailor shop from the space.
The unit was on its last legs. It produced more noise than cold air, consuming RM180/month in electricity while barely keeping the 15 sqm office comfortable during afternoon hours. Staff complained they couldn't hear clients on the phone over the compressor rumble. And the window it occupied — the only one facing the street — was completely blocked, making the office dark and claustrophobic.
Mr. Chong had been putting off the upgrade because he assumed it would require extensive wall drilling in the old brick walls. He was pleasantly surprised when we told him we could route the new split unit's pipes through the existing window cavity.
The Installation
Our technician Ramesh first removed the old window unit, carefully recovering the remaining refrigerant for proper disposal. He then sealed the window opening with a fitted plywood panel and weather sealant, leaving a small section open for the new copper pipe routing.
The new Daikin 1.5HP inverter was mounted on the wall beside the window. Copper pipes were routed through the same cavity the old window unit occupied — no drilling through the old brick walls at all. The outdoor condenser was mounted on an existing bracket at the rear of the building.

- TNB bill: First month electricity dropped from RM180 to RM105 (just for the aircond portion)
- Natural light: Window restored — office feels brighter and more professional
Pricing

- Full vacuum, gas charge, and 20-minute performance test
- Window light restored — office brighter and cooler
Customer Feedback
"Should have done this 5 years ago. The office is quieter, cooler, brighter, and my electricity bill dropped RM75/month. The Daikin is like a completely different world compared to that old window unit. And no wall drilling needed — Ramesh used the existing window space for the pipes. Very clever."
