The Customer's Situation

Encik Hafiz runs a popular nasi kandar restaurant in Kota Damansara serving 200-300 customers at lunch. His previous 3.0HP wall-mounted aircond — installed directly above the wok station — died after 14 months with evaporator coils completely sealed by grease. Staff were threatening to quit over 40°C kitchen conditions.

Our Approach

We calculated the total heat load: 3 gas stoves (12,000W) + 2 deep fryers (6,000W) + body heat = ~20,000W. Far beyond what one 3.0HP unit could handle. We installed two 3.0HP Daikin ceiling cassettes away from cooking stations, with washable grease pre-filters and an upgraded exhaust system. The aircond handles the remaining heat after the exhaust removes 40-50% at source.
